Review: Opportunity to look at their world premiere in Toronto this evening, where we joined not only by the stars, but also for Patti Lomax, the real wife of Eric Lomax, in the autobiography of the film is based. The story is unique and interesting, and treated with a series of flashbacks Eric Lomax, our protagonist (Firth), the experience of WW2. As the film is set in a location that is quite bleak (prison camp and apartments in green), not the most visually exciting to watch, and edit / pacing leaves something to be desired - at some point, we have today is Eric Lomax (Firth ) comes suddenly brought back to POW camps in Asia without any indication to us about how he traveled there (single shot wouldve aircraft do) or, in at least one case, they are hallucinating. However, a good story and also starring Firth, with the support of Nicole Kidman as his wife - but the real show stealers are Jeremy Irvine as a young Lomax, Hiroyuki Sanada as Nagase, Japanese translator and Lomaxs tormentor. |
