Review: Wes Anderson is one of the most original filmmakers working today. None of his films can not be separated on any particular genre. His most recent, Grand Hotel Budapest, which opened the Berlin Film Festival, continues this trend. This is a story in a story in the story more. While every shot was carefully organized, if the work hangs in museums of art, history wise Anderson released his fancy. While the story (with Tom Wilkinson) and Tale Tale (Jude Law and F Murray Abraham) have simple stories, story, tale a fairy tale, which includes most of the film is a wild ride on a train Noisy story. It also boasts a cast of a lifetime: Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Harvey Keitel, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson & countless cameos. It will please the fans, but Anderson is most likely intended for the art home theater, because this too from the core audience. Production music is excellent, and even the final credits creatively made (and received another standing ovation from the audience). |
